General
How does RichAI work?
RichAI is a smart AI-powered expense tracker for iPhone. Add transactions with your voice or by scanning a receipt — the AI recognizes the amount, merchant, and category for you. Then explore your spending with beautiful analytics, smart filters, and multi-currency support, so you always know exactly where your money goes.
How do I add a transaction with voice or receipt scanning?
Tap the plus button in the app and choose voice input or the camera. Say the amount and what you bought (for example, "coffee at Starbucks, $6.50"), or point your camera at a receipt — RichAI reads the details, fills in the transaction, and keeps the receipt photo attached for your records.
Does RichAI support multiple currencies?
Yes. Every transaction can be recorded in its own currency, and live exchange rates are pulled automatically. If you exchanged money at a specific rate, you can set a manual override. Your analytics are always shown in your primary currency, with all foreign expenses converted automatically.
How is my data protected?
Your privacy comes first. Your financial data is stored locally on your device and synced securely through your personal iCloud account — we do not store it on our servers. RichAI uses no third-party analytics or advertising networks and never sells your data. Learn more in our Privacy Policy.
How do I export my data?
Your data belongs to you. You can export your transaction history from the app at any time — for example, as a CSV file — and use it in spreadsheets or other tools.
How do I delete my data?
You can delete your data in the app at any time. Because everything is stored on your device and in your personal iCloud, deleting your data in the app (or deleting the app itself) removes it — we keep no copies on our servers. If you need a hand, just email us.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions and purchases are handled by Apple. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions and choose RichAI to change or cancel your plan. To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
Can I get a refund?
Since all purchases are processed by Apple, refunds are handled by Apple as well. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID, or contact Apple Support directly.
Using the app
What is the difference between "End series" and "Delete series"?
Both live in the recurring payments list, but they do different things. End series stops the series while keeping its history intact: the series stays in your list marked as ended, no new payments are ever created from it, and every transaction it already created keeps its recurring badge and its link to the series. Delete series removes the series completely: it disappears from the list, upcoming payments that have not happened yet are removed, and past transactions stay in your history but become regular transactions — no recurring badge, no link to the series. Use End when a subscription is over but you want its history grouped; use Delete when the series should never have existed.
What happens to past transactions after I delete a recurring series?
Nothing is deleted from your history. Transactions the series already created stay exactly where they are — they just become ordinary transactions: the recurring badge disappears, and you can turn any of them into a new recurring series later with "Make Recurring" in the transaction details. Your devices stay in sync, and deleted series will not cause duplicates to reappear.
Why is my account balance not zero after I deleted all its transactions?
Account balances in RichAI are calculated, not stored: the balance is the account's initial balance minus everything you have spent from it. When you delete transactions, the balance goes back up toward that initial balance — not to zero. If you want the account to show zero, edit the account and set its initial balance to zero.
Why does a category show more than 100% in analytics?
This can happen when your data contains negative amounts — typically money coming in, imported from a bank statement. Category percentages are currently calculated against the net total (spending minus those incoming amounts), so when income shrinks the total, a large spending category can show more than 100%, and an income category can show a negative percentage. The numbers for each category are still correct — it is only the percentages that are skewed. We are refining how these percentages are calculated.
Why does the app ask "Which currency?" and when does it stop asking?
You see this question when you pay from a multi-currency account and RichAI meets a merchant for the first time — it cannot yet know which of your currencies that merchant uses. Answer once, and RichAI remembers the currency for that merchant on your device: next time the currency is filled in automatically and the question does not appear. Single-currency accounts never trigger the question.
How does file sharing work in RichAI?
RichAI uses the standard iOS share sheet and file picker. To get data out, open Export CSV in Settings, choose a date range, and generate the file — then share it anywhere iOS allows: save to Files, AirDrop it, email it, or hand it to another app. To bring data in, use CSV Import in Settings and pick a file from the system file picker.
